Jim and Pat Mathis purchased the cabin in 1977 and 4 generations have enjoyed hiking, skiing, fishing and all that Red River has to offer. Their hope was that family and friends would enjoy the cabin for decades to come!

The cabin has four bedrooms, two baths, bunk beds for kids, and sleeps 12. A fully stocked kitchen, as well as a Blackstone on the porch, provide guests all they need for preparing meals while enjoying the mountains.

Phil’s West Forest has horseshoes, washers, a fire pit, and a chairlift swing. Also, a great place for sledding in the winter! The cabin is just a short walk to the center of Red River where more activities, restaurants and fun await.
